Half handwritten text

We got feedback that text was just too intense and unreadable in some parts. Even though it easily and clearly conveyed the feeling of stress and anxiety it affected the actual understanding of information in a negative way so we decided to just have some pull quotes handwritten.

Handwritten text

Testing handwritten type to get across a very anxious feel.

We tested a lot of different ways to actually write the text; from left handed to holding the very end of the pen. We asked some people and thought this worked better. Although it really does get the feeling across we are wondering of it's too much

Glitché

We discovered an app called Glitché that can warp and distort images. We did a bit of experimenting through it to see if there was anything that we could use.

Nothing really felt right. They all felt too intense and had too much of a digital vibe to them. Although some of the images did start to get across what we were wanting they just didn't fit our current style and would have been too disruptive.

Experimentation with face images

Experimentation with photocopying faces and playing with glitchy effects to emphasise anxiety and stress.

Initial photocopying experimentation

Experimentation for cover and spread imagery.

Played with creating abstract imagery and warping them to create stress and anxiety.

Reworking idea

After some critique we decided that our idea was too broad so we started to rework it. Mainly just focussing on the background, issue and desired action and making them short and concise.

We later realised that we were heading too far away so we came back to the original.
