CoExist design firm did a lot of research into distraction and productivity, which led to research around visual and auditory stimuli. They designed these pieces of office furniture to combat that. The use of the translucent screens is key to blocking out distractions yet letting some detail come through so it does not feel like you are trapped when you use the pods.
